As a kind of precautionary measure, the Sarasota Architectural Foundation (SAF) recently announced it is creating a full-scale replica of Rudolph’s Walker Guest House, a small mid-century gem built on Sanibel Island in 1952 and considered one of his crowning achievements. Architect and contractor Joseph King is fabricating the facsimile in his workshop in Bradenton, just north of Sarasota.
